Time for my every-once-in-a-while random post to the blog…
eBooks for a Buck Web Page
Well, when I sent the post out about the 30 books that were significantly discounted and promoted on the eBooks for a Buck (or Less) blog, I messed up on the links….that’s what happens when you do something in a hurry….if you want to check out the 30 books that are 99 cents, you can click here or go to http://ebooksforabuck.wordpress.com/ in your computer’s web browser.
Refurbished Kindle Fire
Last week, I told you about Amazon offering refurbished Kindle Fire’s for $169, or $30 less than a new one – they also come with the same warranty as a new one. Some people thought it was a scam: I know two people who took advantage of the deal, and they both said they looked like they were brand new. My guess is, seeing as how there were probably a lot returned right after Christmas, Amazon has quite a few. Additionally, if Amazon is going to put the same warranty on one of these as they do a new Kindle Fire, it’s a heck of a deal and the $30 savings just might buy you a half a tank of gas.
Links to Free Books by Genre / Category
I’ve received a lot of requests to the links I sent out detailing the 24,000+ free Kindle books I sent out in a post a couple of weeks ago. Rather than repeat the whole list again (I need to save that for a rainy day!), you can click here or type in http://bit.ly/xr6fNe into your computer’s web browser to read that post again.
I would imagine there will be several hundred new free books starting the weekend off on Saturday morning!
The re-branded website has been a hit so far, and I am overwhelmed at the number of people that are stopping by to give it a look! Many of you know I am a data nut (after all, I am an accountant in real life), and have asked me how many page views, etc. it is receiving.
Well, let’s put it this way – I’m on a really cheap web hosting plan and now I’m concerned they will make me move to a dedicated server: if things stay flat for the rest of the year (i.e., no new people visit or growth), we’re looking at just over 4.2 million page views. Wow!
If you haven’t visited yet, just point your web browser to www.fkbooksandtips.com where, in addition to the free book offerings, you can take a look at previous Kindle tips and the other miscellaneous stuff that is around on the website.
Better yet, tell a friend!
Yes, I filled out an NCAA basketball tourney pool at work again this year. I’m now concerned I’m going to be the overall bracket loser!
Here’s to hoping your bracket is better than mine, and I also hope you have a great weekend!
