It’s the 4th of July

Today is the 4th of July, or the anniversary of the founding of The United States of America.  It’s supposed to be a celebration of the independence of our country but chaos, intimidation, and a lack of respect for the opinion of others seems to be the flavor of the day and it is not only disappointing but embarrassing.

I hope you take a moment to say a prayer and give thanks to the men and women who not only made sacrifices to establish this country as well as to keep it free, but honor those who made the supreme sacrifice in order for you and I to enjoy the freedom and liberties so many people across the globe do not have.

I highly recommend each of you – whether you live in the USA or not – to read the Declaration of Independence.  It’s free to read on your Kindle, and you can grab a copy if you click here.

  1. Make sure to fly old Glory today. I have spent 20 years in the Army to make our country free Our country is falling into despair. If we do something fast, we won’t have the country we love. I can’t believe it, even we voted two women that want to destroy our country. They should be kicked out.

  2. Thank you for this post Michael. Well said and a much needed reminder in these trying times.
    God bless you and yours.

  3. Your comment is so true . USA is changing and not for the good . Only news reports are reported/true or false. The real problem is it seems only certain viewpoints are reported. It seems no one is respecting each other’s opinion. Respect is earned and should all should have a voice
