About the Author:Saffron Bryant is a young Australian author with a passion for both writing and reading. She has been fascinated by fantasy books from a young age with Lord of the Rings being one of her favourites. In 2010, just a few weeks before her 20th birthday Saffron was diagnosed with a large brain tumour that required urgent surgery. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of her community she was able to have surgery in 2011. Saffron spent her recovery time in 2011 putting the final touches on her fantasy novel The Fallen Star which was published on Amazon in 2012. Saffron finished her honours degree in Biomedical Science in 2012 and is currently completing her PhD.
