Today’s Featured Kindle Book of the Day is Flash, by Tim Tigner, and this book is regularly $5.99 but has been discounted to just 99 cents today in the Amazon Kindle store. This book has received an average user rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars based on 39 customer reviews.
Here is the book’s description from the Amazon website:
FLASH is the story of four lives changed by desperation and one devious invention. An inter-national thriller where biotechnology crosses the law, it’s The Bourne Identity meets The Firm.
Two blood-spattered strangers awake locked in the trunk of a car—with a murdered cop and the smoking gun. Aside from raging headaches and no idea what has happened they appear to have nothing in common. Troy thinks it’s 2001 and he’s still a combat surgeon fighting terrorists in Afghanistan. Emmy believes it’s 2002 and she’s still grifting a living from the streets of L.A. Are they archenemies or co-conspirators? Lovers or friends? What the hell are they doing in the Caribbean? And why is a Croatian assassin determined to kill them? The only thing they do know for certain is that they’ll be spending the rest of their lives in prison if the police catch them before they uncover the truth.
A mathematics and philosophy major with an adventurous spirit, Tim served in the Green Berets where he learned Russian and specialized in Soviet counterintelligence, but switched from espionage to arbitrage with the fall of the Berlin Wall. After working a couple years as a Foreign Exchange Trader, he returned to school to earn an MBA from Wharton, but it was his concurrent Masters in International Studies that steered Tim’s career.
Moving to Moscow in the midst of Perestroika, then Brussels during the formation of the EU, and eventually landing in Silicon Valley as a startup CEO, Tim has enjoyed a globetrotting career in the medical device industry. Equally active outside the boardroom, Tim has climbed the peaks of Mount Olympus, hang glided the cliffs of Rio de Janeiro, and parachuted into places undisclosed. He walked the Serengeti with a Maasai warrior, worked medical experiments with an orbiting cosmonaut, and crossed the Atlantic with the Gorbachevs. While none of his adventures were intended as research for his thrillers, they certainly help.
Addicted to reading thrillers since 1994, Tim has been writing them since 2004. His thrillers have all hit Amazon’s Top Ten Best Seller lists. He lives with his wife Elena and their two daughters in California.
