I saw the following tip today on the Amazon discussion board – there is a calculator built into your Kindle (who woulda thought it?) You can read the ongoing discussion if you Click Here, as new features of the calculator are being “discovered” as people are playing around with it.
Type in the main screen of the Kindle
2+2= after this press the Enter button (<-)
You can also type in t = 2*2 and press Enter.
A few other things it can do is basic math (plus, minus, multiplication, division, power (^) and square root (sqrt)), parenthesis , trigonometry (sin, cos, tan, atan), division by zero yields infinity result (∞)).
Make sure you press enter and do not click with the 5-way controller.
